Jacob and I recently had an Achievement Day activity on beauty. If you're thinking to yourself "Jacob...Achievement Days"? The answer is yes. He is my Achievement Days partner. I don't know if he's the first to ever be a part of the all girls organization, but there's a good chance he is. Ideally, they wanted him in scouts. But after serving there for a couple of years, he decided he'd rather play dress up and do crafts with the 8 yr old girls than chase around webelos and bears. Back to the point... For this activity we decided to help the girls understand what true beauty is and where it comes from. We had them make a list of what makes someone beautiful and put it on a board. Then we took their pictures with the board as the background. We also handed out a quote by President Hinckley listed below. And to end it all...I showed them a youtube video by President Uchtdorf called "Our True Identity." I made each of the girls a white paper swan to go with the video. If you haven't seen the video, you need to! It's beautiful!
