This post is basically a plug for Joffe Laser Center

Jacob decided to get Lasik eye surgery this year. He had been wanting to do it for a while, but knew that it was important to wait until his vision stopped changing so rapidly. Now that he's taken the dive, he couldn't be happier. The only bad side for me is, when he wore contacts and took them out at night, I was basically a blur,.. a blog,.. an inanimate object for all he knew, which meant I could look as hideous as could be and he wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Now his vision is always 15/20 and there's no escaping it. Poor fella.

Once he was in the hot seat, surgery took about a whole 10 minutes. It's insane how fast and how accurately the laser works!
The physician was amazing and all the staff were incredible. Jacob even ended up referring a friend, who then referred another friend, and now all three have had their eyes lasered.

After care included: 1) wearing these awesome Joffe sunglasses (even to bed at night)
2) frequent and seemingly never-ending eye drops
3) a long nap
4) and a little pampering
