Valentine's Day

This Valentine's Day was one of the most special and memorable Valentine's we've had yet. Instead of going out to a fancy restaurant which I normally like to do, we stayed home and I made homemade pizzas, salad, and chocolate mousse. I even took the candlesticks off the my mantel and set them on the table. Jacob brought me tulips, which are my favorite. We even got each other oldschool Minnie and Minnie V-day cards since we had so recently gone to Disneyland and I had fallen in love with Minnie. It was such a fun night and well worth staying in.

I made two types of pizza. The first is a pizza margherita with fresh and shredded mozzarella, fresh tomatoes, and basil;
and my all time favorite pizza with garlic infused olive oil, prosciutto, and mozzarella, topped with fresh arugula,
parmesan shavings, and fresh lemon juice.

Simple but fun table setting

Can't forget dessert!

  1. Yum! Now I look back on those times you wanted to cook and I said let's make some Kraft Mac and Cheese with regret. Haha. Your culinary talents amaze me. We love spending Valentine's Day at home, too, with our own candlelight dinner. I've never been brave enough to face the crowd eating out!
