We thought it would be fun to take a summer weekend and go biking and river floating. The Carver County Park, which is only a few minutes from our house, is the perfect place to bike, hike, snowshoe, cross-country ski, and do all sorts of outdoor things. The trails are in pristine condition and the scenery is breathtaking. In the winter time, whenever I feel like I can't take another minute of Minnesota's frozen tundra, I reminisce about the beauty of this park.

| After biking, we came back to our house to eat dinner. It was the first time we got to use our new deck and patio furniture with friends! |

| The next morning we went to The Original Pancake House. Jacob and I had never been there. Jacob ordered some sort of specialty German-type pancake. |

| I kept it simple. Bacon pancakes. You can't really go wrong if there's bacon involved. |

| After breakfast, we drove to a nearby river to go tubing. It was freezing cold that day. The cold meant that there were less people and therefore, less of a wait time, but it also meant sitting in ice cold river water when getting into our tubes. Fortunately, there was a much needed campfire that we utilized to warm up at afterwards. |

| After tubing and warming up, went to a random and somewhat ghetto nearby game place that we found off the highway. When Kara and I saw these giant camp chairs, we of course, had to try them out. |

| At the game center, there were batting cages that we all tried our hand at. And I have to say, it was harder than it looked. |
